Fans believe Taylor Swift has written a song about suffering a miscarriage one of her latest songs.

The 32-year-old singer recently released her brand new album Midnights, along with a "3am Edition" version of the record featuring seven extra songs, one of which has sparked speculation among her fans.

Announcing the bonus tracks, Taylor wrote shortly after the release of her album:

"Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 songs forming a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour.

"However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13. I’m calling them 3am tracks. Lately I’ve been loving the feeling of sharing more of our creative process with you, like we do with From The Vault tracks. So it’s 3am and I’m giving them to you now."

The track Bigger Than The Whole Sky features lyrics that deal with loss and many are theorising that the song could actually be about the heartbreak of having a miscarriage.

The lyrics read of the first verse read:

"No words appear before me in the aftermath / Salt streams out my eyes and into my ears / Every single thing I touch becomes sick with sadness / Cause it’s all over now / All out to sea," Taylor sings in the first verse of the emotional song.

"Did some bird flap its wings over in Asia / Did some force take you because I didn’t pray / Every single thing to come has turned into ashes / Cause it’s all over  / It’s not meant to be  / So I’ll say words I don’t believe," the second verse reads.

Finally, the chorus of the song shares a lamenting "goodbye".

"Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye / You were bigger than the whole sky / You were more than just a short time / And I’ve got a lot to pine about / I’ve got a lot to live without / I’m never gonna meet / What could’ve been, would’ve been / What should’ve been you / What could’ve been, would’ve been you," Taylor sings.

Since its release, the song has appeared to give comfort to many fans, which some sharing their own experiences.

Do you agree with this fan theory?

Announcing the album earlier this year Taylor said her 10th studio album would tell stories of "13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life".

She added: "We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren't - right this minute - about to make some fateful life-altering mistake.

Meanwhile, Taylor also unveiled the music video for her lead single from Midnights, Anti-Hero, where the pop star sings: "It’s me, hi / I’m the problem / it’s me".
