First look 'The Devil Wears Prada' sequel teaser trailer starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway

First Look: The Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer has finally dropped - and it’s giving everything.

Gird your loins - Miranda Priestly is back.

20th Century Studios has just dropped the first official look at The Devil Wears Prada 2, almost two decades after the original film strutted into cinemas and defined a generation of fashion lovers and movie fans alike.

The first teaser opens with the click-clack of designer heels, followed by champagne toasts and flashing cameras. It’s a stylish whirlwind that ends with that iconic elevator moment between Miranda (Meryl Streep) and Andy (Anne Hathaway): "Miranda." "Took you long enough." Set to Madonna’s Vogue, the teaser is packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-them Easter eggs that true Devil Wears Prada fans will definitely clock.

The sequel reunites the iconic original cast - Meryl Streep as the incomparable Miranda Priestly, Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Emily Blunt as the unforgettable Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci as the ever-fabulous Nigel. The gang is back on the stylish streets of New York City and inside the glossy halls of Runway Magazine for another sharp, fashion-fueled chapter.

Behind the scenes, the dream team also returns: director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are back on board, ensuring the sequel keeps that same razor-sharp wit and emotional bite that made the 2006 film a classic.

Joining the cast this time are some major new names - Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley (Bridgerton), Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora - along with returning favourites Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman as Lily and Irv.

The film, produced by Wendy Finerman, will debut exclusively in cinemas on April 30, 2026, with early reports hinting at production filming in New York and Italy - so expect runway glamour meets European sophistication.

Emily Blunt recently teased that her character might be stirring the pot once again, telling Entertainment Tonight, “[Meryl and I are] so mean to each other in every movie [we] do. We always have beef … let’s hope we remedy it.”

While Blunt stayed tight-lipped on what Emily Charlton has been up to all these years, she admitted she never imagined revisiting the role that launched her career nearly twenty years ago. “No. Twenty years ago - in a blink, it’s gone by.”

So what can fans expect this time around? Details are still under wraps, but if the first look trailer is anything to go by - it’s serving drama, luxury, and just the right amount of chaos.

Because, as Miranda might say… that’s all.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits cinemas April 30, 2026.
