Five easy ways to start boosting your money confidence today

Let’s be honest, Kiwi women are amazing communicators.
We’ll chat about relationships, breakups, the price of butter (don’t get us started), awkward health checks, and even death. But according to a new survey by ANZ, 60% of us will talk about almost anything except our financial future*.
But It’s time to change that because your money confidence matters, so we’ve teamed up with ANZ to help Kiwi women feel more empowered when it comes to their financial future, especially KiwiSaver. And confidence with your finances doesn’t come from knowing everything, it’s about knowing where to start.
So, where do you start?
1) Check you’re in the right KiwiSaver fund
Your fund choice can make a big difference to how your savings grow. ANZ’s Fund Chooser Tool helps you find a fund that suits your life stage. It’s quick, easy, and can help you feel more in control.
2) Review your contributions (even the small stuff counts)
Are you contributing the minimum 3%? Check if your employer matches higher rates and if you’ve got a side hustle, voluntary top-ups help too!
3) Set a retirement goal that feels real.
Whether you dream of beachside brunches or just want to feel secure, having a clear savings goal helps you stay focused. ANZ’s KiwiSaver calculator can show you how much you’re on track to have at retirement and what you might need to tweak to get where you want to go.
4) Make every dollar count
Could you put in a little more? Even small voluntary contributions can make a big impact. And don’t forget the Government contribution, contributing just over $20 a week can unlock up to $260.72 from the Government a year!
5) Talk to a Specialist (it’s free!)
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. ANZ offers a free KiwiSaver Check In with one of their KiwiSaver Specialists - no pressure, no jargon, just a friendly chat to help you feel more confident about your next steps.
