Grooming fail! Dog goes viral after owner hilariously botches his lockdown haircut

Let this be a lesson to you all: PUT DOWN THE SCISSORS.

As we continue to self-isolate to contain the spread of the coronavirus, you might've been tempted to trim your hair while unable to get to a salon.

But take it from this dog - it is not worth it.

Mashi, a Pomeranian from Sydney, has gone viral after his inexperience mum gave him a DIY doggy grooming session to rather disastrous results.

Sharing a before and after comparison photo of his tragic haircut on Instagram, his owner, Hermione Olivia, wrote: "Take it from @bossmash and wait until the professionals are back."

In the first photo, Mashi can be seen with a full head and body of fluffy fur.

However, in the second photo, he looks like he has been attacked by Edward Scissorhands.

All we can say is, at least it will grow back!
