115 years ago today a man was born who inspired the lives of generations of children and adults alike - that man was Walt Disney.

Disney was an entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. The works of his company, which was founded in the 1920s, have won 26 Academy Awards, 3 Golden Globes and 1 Emmy Award.

To celebrate the creator of Disney's birthday we present ten of our favourite animated Disney movies:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

It was Disney's very first animated feature, and it's still just as enchanting today as it was when it was first released.

Cinderella (1950)

Who didn't dream of having a fairy godmother to turn you into a princess?

Alice in Wonderland (1951)

Curiouser and curiouser! Disney took Lewis Carroll's bizarre book and brought it to life in the most magical way.

Peter Pan (1953)

The Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, Hook! There are so many great moments in Peter Pan it's hard to pick just one!

The Little Mermaid (1989)

Nothing made us want to become a mermaid more than this movie.

Beauty and the Beast (1991)

It's been remade into a live-action movie starring Emma Watson, but we still love the original!

Aladdin (1992)

Not only is Aladdin one of our favourite Disney movies, but possibly one of the best soundtracks! It's impossible not to sing along to A Whole New World.

The Lion King (1994)

How could we not have The Lion King on this list? It's everyone's favourite Disney film. Hakuna Matata!

Frozen (2013)

This movie changed the lives of parents forever - Let It Go will go down as one of the catchiest Disney songs ever.

Moana (2016)

It may not be out in New Zealand until later this month, but we're sure Moana is going to be one of our new favourites!

Happy Birthday, Disney!!
