Here is everything you need to know about this year's Farmers Santa Parade

Only two weeks remain until the 92nd annual Farmers Santa Parade when Kiwis flock to see festive favourites and familiar friends.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Parade.

Dates and time:

  • Sunday 30th November 2025
    • Pre-parade: 12pm – 1pm (roads will be closed from 10.00am)
    • Parade: 1.00pm – 2.30pm
    • Santa’s Party: 2:30pm – 5:00pm

Postponement if required: In the event of adverse weather, a postponement decision will be announced by 9am, Sunday 30 November on the Parade website and Facebook page. If postponed, the Parade will take place on Sunday 7 December.

Parade route and best viewing spots:

  • The Parade begins from the corner of Cook Street and Mayoral Drive and ends downtown at Customs Street East

Move up town for better viewing spots along Mayoral Drive between Cook Street and Queen Street and on Queen Street between Wellesley Street and Mayoral Drive. Customs Street East from Commerce Street to Gore Street has great viewing too.

A purple honour line will be painted along the Parade route for spectators to stay behind while watching the Parade. 

What to look out for:

Bluey & Bingo â€“ The iconic and beloved children’s show character, Bluey will be making a special return, riding along in the parade; plus, families can catch the Bluey & Bingo Live Interactive Experience at Santa’s Party post-parade at Aotea Square

Ben Boyce with Sienna & Indie – Every year a familiar Kiwi face officially opens the Parade, this year there will be three faces, Kiwi favourite Ben Boyce along with daughters and social media stars Sienna and Indie Boyce are the Parade’s Grand Marshals.

Cheer Bear from Care Bears â€“ Cheer Bear will make her first ever live NZ appearance during Santa’s Party post-parade

TRIBU PAGHIDAET Dinagyang 2025 Champions - TRIBU PAGHIDAET have travelled from the Philippines and will be appearing during the Parade as special guests.

Brand new Enchanted Woodlands Float - a whimsical fairytale scene of mushroom houses, butterflies, and woodland creatures. Get ready for Christmas by listening to 12-year-old Harlow Colling’s audiobook story about the Farmers Santa Parade designed to be a fun Christmas bedtime story for families. The Enchanted Woodlands Story Audiobook can be found on Spotify

Plus, community performers from around Auckland, grand floats, lively marching bands, treasured characters, dazzling costumes, and the appearance of Santa Claus himself.

This year, Duffy Books in Homes joins the Parade as the charity partner for 2025. The charity will fundraise at the Parade to continue the incredible work they do, breaking the cycle of booklessness and delivering the gift of books to over 100,000 children three times a year. 

We recognise the Parade’s funding partners and volunteers for their important contribution to this year’s event. The support of our funding partners makes the Parade possible, and the work of our volunteers helps ensure its successful delivery. We thank them all for their commitment to the community.
