Here's Why There's A Hole At The End Of A Pen Lid

This is probably something you've never thought about, or maybe you have?

Well, for some reason it's common nature for us to chew on a pen lid whilst working. 

Because of this, in 1991 Bic brought in a small hole at the end of their lids in order to reduce the likeliness of suffocation!

People must have been swallowing the lids but apparently with the hole, even if you swallow the lid, it means you can breathe.

And there you have it - Bic is actually putting our safety first!
