A woman in the UK had the shock of her life when she opened a bag of frozen spinach - only to find a severed RAT'S HEAD.

Disgusted Terri Powis, 33, bought the spinach to enjoy with her chicken for dinner. When she emptied the bag, the rat's head fell onto the bench.

After discovering the head she phoned Asda (the supermarket) to complain and received an apology - but Terri believes they did not take her complaint seriously.

She added: "The way they handled it was like it happened every day. They said sorry but it was just a 'yeah, bring it back to the store'.

ASDA has said that they will launch an investigation into how the rat's head made it into the bag of spinach.
