We all love a good nap, but it turns out it could really help your memory!

Researchers at Germany’s Saarland University determined that napping for about an hour tremendously improves a person’s ability to recall recently absorbed information.

Graduate student Sara Studte taught 90 words and 120 unrelated word pairs to a group of 41 students, half of whom were allowed to take a nap afterward. They then redid the test and those who took the nap managed to recall more words!

"A short nap at the office or in school is enough to significantly improve learning success," said Professor Axel Mecklinger, who supervised the study.

"Wherever people are in a learning environment, we should think seriously about the positive effects of sleep.

"Even a short sleep lasting 45 to 60 minutes produces a five-fold improvement in information retrieval from memory."

BRB going to take a nap.
