Kiwis can now go see 'The Devil Wears Prada' in the cinemas across the country

We all fell in love with the fast-paced fashion comedy The Devil Wears Prada when it first came out more than a decade ago.

And now Kiwi fans of the flick have the chance to see it once more on the big screen from today!

Based on the best-selling book, The Devil Wears Prada stars Anne Hathaway as an aspiring journalist who scores a gig working for the biggest fashion magazine in the world, and the scariest boss ever, Miranda Priestly, played by the one and only Meryl Streep.

Directed by David Frankel, the comedy also stars Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Adrian Grenier.

The re-release of the movie – which will be available in both Hoyts and Event cinemas across the country - comes after cinemas across the country have opted to show older movie favourites in lieu of new movie release dates being pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Some other titles that are either available now or soon to watch in theatres include the original Ghostbusters, the original 1964 Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Inception, The Matrix, Gremlins, The Goonies, Alien, The Never Ending Story and more!
