Landlord Sends Heartwarming Letter To His Struggling Tenants

A man has shared the heartwarming note he received from his landlord just in time for the holidays.

In a touching gesture true to the Christmas spirit, a man known only as 'Mike' posted a note from his landlord Jack on Imgur on Monday. 

'Mike - I know you guys have been having trouble being between jobs and I just wanted to thank you for always being current on the rent,' the note begins.

'So my gift for you and yours is that I'm waiving your December rent so you can give your family a good and decent Christmas this year.

'We'll just pick it back up in January.

In a reddit thread which has since been removed after the user deleted their account, the recipient of the note said the children living with him are actually his sister's, making the sentiment even more touching.

'The kids are my sister's. We took her kids in after she passed away in October. Come on guys, put away the pitch forks,' the man wrote.

The image garnered almost two million views on Imgur after only eight hours of being online.
