"Special event" parking restrictions have come in to force today around the hospital where Kate Middleton is due to give birth this month.

The due date of the royal baby hasn't been revealed, but reports suggest the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their newborn on April 25th - days before their wedding anniversary on April 29th and days after the Queen's birthday on April 21.

Parking notices around St Mary's Hospital in London mark the 15-30 April out of bounds 24 hours-a-day for an undisclosed "special event". To avoid the hysteria seen around the hospital for Prince George's birth, press will not be allowed to gather outside the Lindo wing until after she has been admitted.

The labor will be overseen by gynaecologist Guy Thorpe-Beeston. Prince William and his wife chose the Lindo Wing for the birth of baby George in 2013 and it is also where Princess Diana gave birth to her sons.

As a returning mother, The Duchess of Cambridge will receive the private wing at a knock-down of 10 per cent.

The new child will be fourth in line to the throne.
