Nominated actor Ben Affleck skipped the SAG awards for the sweetest reason

We didn't think we could love Ben Affleck any more than we already do - we were wrong.

He's shown the world that family time means most to him.

The SAG (Screen Actors Guild Awards) nominated actor was missing from his seat at the ceremony - to instead celebrate his son Samuel Affleck's 10th birthday (which he shares with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, along with two daughters Violet (16) & Seraphina (13)).

The nomination was for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in The Tender Bar. The award was instead given to Troy Kotsur for his work in Coda.

Even though he wasn't a winner this time, Ben Affleck's performance in the film has received a lot of praise. Directed by George Clooney, the movie follows a young boy growing up who is looking for a father figure among the patrons of his uncle's bar. The screenplay is based on the memoir by journalist J.R. Moehringer.
