NZ Herald releases heartfelt and moving 7-part documentary series about Kiwi hip-hop artist KD Lok

The New Zealand Herald is proud to present its latest documentary series 'Loko', made with support from NZ on Air.

The seven-part series follows Matty Paparoa, aka KD Lok, a New Zealand hip-hop artist who went international.

He soon found himself involved with the wrong crowd, back in West Auckland and living on the streets.

Loko is an inspiring, confronting and sometimes funny story exploring Matty's life living with mental health and his road to recovery through his love of hip-hop music and support from the local community.
