Outrage After Radio Station Kills Rabbit Live On Air

People in Denmark are fuming after a radio host killed a baby rabbit live on the air during a show. The 24/7 radio presenter was hosting a debate about animal welfare when he decided to kill the baby rabbit. Just in case he hadn’t angered enough animal rights protestors, he then proceeded to cook and eat the animal.

Asger Juhl said that he killed the rabbit to show the hypocrisy of animal advocates who eat meat from supermarkets. Juhl hit 9-week-old Alan, on the head three times with a bicycle pump.

Allan argues that the rabbit had a good life, while animals that end on butchers’ chopping boards are victims of an industry that doesn’t care about their well-being.

Denmark is controversial when it comes to killing animals. Last year a Danish zoo killed a baby giraffe in front of children before dissecting it and feeding it to one of the lions. The zoo explained it was a way to prevent in-breeding and also designed to teach kids about anatomy.
