A Twitter user reminded those who find flying tedious just how incredible it actually is - by live-tweeting a woman's amazement at her first experience of air travel.
Elaine Filadelfo, from Washington DC, found herself sitting next to Sue, a woman in her 60s, on her flight from Los Angles to San Francisco and discovered that she'd never been in a plane before.
The woman's childlike excitement was palpable - she couldn't stop looking out of the window - so she decided to live tweet the entire 90-minute journey.

It's so fun to see someone gleeful & mesmerized about the idea of flying - or anything, really - and not complaining about details.

The beginning of the journey gave Sue a few shocks.
Aww she's so nervous. Pulled away from the gate and there was a random thud, as happens, and she's grubbing armrest. Trying to reassure her.

But once the plane was airborne, it was nothing but sheer joy.

Her excitement spread quickly and the airline was so touched by the story that the pilot came to meet her, and they upgraded her ticket.
In the end, the plane touched down safely.
Filadelfo posted: "Landed! Sue did it! "That's it? It's over now? Wow! That was fast [Sue said]!"'

Sue's daughter, who she was flying to as a surprise, has never flown either.
According to Feladelfo, she said: "Now I can take her and show her it's ok!"
Ms Filadelfo told MailOnline Travel: "I just wanted to be able to share some heartwarming news, since it's been a stressful few months for most people I know on Twitter (myself included).
"You always see people using Twitter to complain about a flight, so I loved a chance to share a heartwarming reminder that it can be a really special experience - I think that's why people seem to be enjoying Sue's story."
