Two fans in the UK wanted to go to the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens so bad, that they created a replica X-Wing and sent it into space to try and win them 2 tickets to the screening!
Project Helium Tears are a two-person group from Essex that uses weather balloons to take photos of Earth from the edge of space. This time they attached a model X-wing to one of their balloons and filmed the results. According to the BBC, the effort cost the duo around £1,200.
