As the big day approaches, we'd expect you'd be knee deep in the Christmas tunes, or due to your hate for repetitiveness, maybe not.
But all hope isn't lost, we have compiled a few festive tunes that aren't on a five-song rotate at your family's Christmas breakfast.
There's no speak of a dog fighting the German Empire, or even snow for that matter, this list contains recent(ish) songs that will give your holidays a fresh feel.
1. Christmas Lights - Coldplay
There's no denying that Coldplay have proved their sound over the last decade, and this Christmas tune is no exception.Â
2. Please Come Home For Christmas - Kelly Clarkson
Kelly's take on Charles Brown's 1960 Christmas blues song has got a nice feel to it.
As the genre states, it's nothing upbeat and happy, but would be a nice addition to the playlist.
3. Christmas In The Sand - Colbie Caillet
A concept that we're all familiar with, but not one that comes from a US artist often.
Wouldn't say it's as good as the classic Christmas In New Zealand, but it's a tune we can relate to.
4. I'll Be Home - Meghan Trainor
Surprisingly this isn't in response to Kelly, but the All About That Bass singer decided to contribute to the festive cheer herself.
Produced and written herself, this is a really nice song to have around the Christmas gathering.
5. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - SOL3 MIO
The New Zealand trio's cover of this festive classic has a great feel to it.
6. Santa Tell Me - Ariana Grande
It seems that this little pop icon can so no wrong musically.
Check out her having a crack at a holiday song.
7. It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
There's no denying how Michael's smooth vocals work amazingly well with anything to do with Christmas.
You've probably already heard this one, but chuck it on and tell me you don't like it, Â we dare you.
8. Underneath The Tree - Kelly Clarkson
From the same album as Please Come Home For Christmas but with a completely different feel, Kelly comes through with this saxophone-blasting carol. Â
9. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Sam Smith
Repetition is never a good thing to have in a playlist, but in this case, both versions of this classic complement each other nicely.Â
10. Mistletoe - Justin Bieber
This one could be a bit controversial, but there's no denying the pop superstars vocal ability.
Love him or hate him, spreading the Christmas cheer is never a bad thing.
