The strangest but tastiest Christmas food combinations

Every man and his dog has tried the age old combination of salmon and cream cheese, but how many people can say that they've accompanied the pink fish with orange, or even prunes?

A table has come out that reveals the some weird food combinations that according to the food company Gousto, taste great. 

If you follow the white dots, you will get combinations that not many people have thought of, or had time to combine in the midst of the festivities.

 The traditional Christmas ham and turkey look like they have the most wacky combinations, while things like brandy and cranberries surprisingly only combine with a couple of other ingredients.

We can't say that we have ever thought of combining these two not-so-Christmas foods with open fire roasted chestnuts, but would definitely be keen to try it.

So before you rubbish the idea of eating blue cheese on prunes, or nutmeg covered turkey, give it a shot, you might be surprised.
