If the old saying is to be believed, then cats and dogs are best known for fighting when thrown together. 

But these adorable photographs shared online tell a totally different story. 

They capture cats who've ditched their beds altogether in favour of curling up on top of the nearest dog for a snooze - and the sleepy pooches don't seem to mind in the slightest.
