This Heroic Uncle Has Saved His Nephew's Life

A man is being hailed a 'hero' after he stopped his 6-year-old nephew from being hit by a car on Thursday. 

Jordan Reynolds and his nephew Ashton were crossing a road in Wales when the 24-year-old had to use his body to shield the young lad.

The boys Dad, Grant, praised his brother for his heroic act after doctors said it was likely Ashton would have died if he'd taken the full impact. 

"I was going to meet him at the time and join in with the festive season. It didn’t quite happen. Jordan kept him on the left hand side so he was in front of Ashton. He pushed the baby away so he hit the car first. All he can remember was he was going to cross and a car came from behind and hit him. Doctors say Ashton may not have been here if it was him."

The pair were rushed to Royal Gwent Hospital were the Welshman was treated for a broken hip, a broken arm and a fractured cheekbone. Luckily Ashton escaped with just minor grazes and bruising to his face and knee.
