What Is Happening Behind The Gates Of Gloriavale?

New Zealand became enthralled when we were first taken inside the gates of Gloriavale, the sheltered religious community situated on the South Island's west coast, but now we're about to find out what really happens there when the cameras aren't rolling. 

 As you'll see in the above video, this week's episode of Sunday on TV One is speaking to two families who have recently fled Gloriavale as they speak candidly about their experience. 

One of the people, Rosanna was born into the isolation of the community and is one of the many who are choosing to leave the gates, the leaders, and their lives for the outside world. 

Why are more and more families defying the leaders of the Gloriavale community and choosing to leave? What is really going on?
