Ed Sheeran‘s “Don’t” comes to life in this new Beats By Dre ad.

When Sheeran first revealed “Don’t,” off his new album x, fans and media alike were intrigued. They wondered who inspired it: Was it Taylor Swift? Ellie Goulding? Is One Direction‘s Niall Horan also to blame Just when the media stopped wondering, Sheeran’s ad spot is bound to get people asking all over again.

“The story in ‘Don’t’ is 100 percent true,” Sheeran said to Billboard. “I could have gotten nastier – there was more shit that I didn’t put in. I was seeing someone for a bit of time, and then they ended up physically involved with one of my friends in the same hotel that we were staying in, while I was downstairs. And I feel like: Treat people how you want to be treated.”
