Tom Cruise acted out scenes based on his new movie The Mummy, but they were written by young school students.

The 54-year-old Hollywood superstar was promoting his new action movie on The Tonight Show when host Jimmy Fallon got him to join a skit called Kid Theater.

Tom joined Jimmy, 42, in acting out three scenes written by kids aged nine, seven and six who had only been given the title The Mummy to work on.

Despite the ridiculousness of some of the scenes, Tom, in a dark suit and matching shirt, pretended to give his most serious performances to each piece — but both he and the talk show host could not help cracking up with laughter.
