Human-Like Robots Are Closer Than Ever: "I Will Destroy Humans"

David Hanson, founder of Hanson Robotics, recently demonstrated ‘Sophia’ at the South by Southwest (SXSW) technology show.

The purpose of these robots is to serve in theme parks and care facilities to assist people in both customer service and health treatment.

But watching the above video is reasonably terrifying! THEY LOOK SO REAL.

While demonstrating 'Sophia', Hanson jokingly asked: “Do you want to destroy humans?… Please say no.” But unfortunately Sophia clearly has a murderous agenda as she unblinkingly answered: “OK. I will destroy humans.”

Oh dear... let's hope our worst nightmares don't come true.
