Kid Freaks Out After Eating Ghost Pepper

The 'ghost pepper challenge' is when you take a bite of a ghost pepper and see how long you can keep it in your mouth for.

The ghost pepper is so hot that anyone who dares to eat it could, they say, end up an apparition, NBC reports. 

The pepper weighs in at 1,041,800 on the Scoville scale -- that's nearly 150 times hotter that the hottest Tabasco sauce. The hottest pepper on the scale is the 'Carolina Reaper' with peak levels of over 2,200,000 Scoville Units.
