We never would've seen this coming ... but it turns out Anne Hegerty - aka The Chase's Governess - has her sights set on taking out the number one music spot this Christmas.

That's right, over the weekend the Chaser officially added pop star credentials to her résumé, as she released a festive charity tune, 'Rock With Rudolph'.

Ahead of the single's release, the 60-year-old game show star revealed she was finally getting to fulfil a childhood dream of hers.

She told The Sun: "I’ve always wanted to be a pop singer and was flattered to be asked. I was starstruck when I walked into the room and not sure if anyone knew who I was."

Hegerty was joined by other famous TV faces on the track, including EastEnders' Kara Tointon and Shona McGarty, Call The Midwife's Kellie Shirley and Downton Abbey's Antonia Bernath.

All proceeds from the feel-good song - which was written and produced by father-and-son team Grahame and Jack Corbyn - will go to UK children's charity Great Ormond Street Hospital, for all the sick youngsters who need an extra bit of help during the festive season.

Hopefully we will get to hear more of her vocals in the future!
