Diena Thompson grieves the loss of her daughter, Somer, who 6 years ago was kidnapped, raped and murdered on her way home from school by killer Jarred Harrell.

This weekend though, Thompson was given a small dose of revenge, when the "Somer Thompson Foundation" gained control of the murderers house.

Instead of selling the land, Thompson volunteered it as a place to help train firefighters in Florida. And in thanks the firefighters allowed Thompson to help.

Thompson was given an axe and was allowed to hack into the walls the day before the fire, physically destroying the house that witnessed her daughter's last hours.

She told press,

"I get to burn their house down… I’m the big bad wolf this time knocking down your door, not the other way around. It’s really nice to know that I’m not ever going to have to drive in this neighborhood again and see this piece of trash."

The firefighters and Thompson then burned the house down to the ground. Now with her 15-year-old daughter Abbi and 12-year-old son Samuel, Thompson and the community can continue to heal.
