Watch: Game of Thrones releases epic season 7 teaser - it will give you chills

Game of Thrones has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated new season - and it will give you chills.

This will be the seventh season for the epic HBO TV series.

The clip features the voices of various Thrones characters along with images of the family house sigils.

The stone figures then crumble as Jon Snow's (played by Kit Harington) voice says: "There's only one war that matters, the great war, and it is here." This could be a sign of what is to come in the seventh season which set to premiere later this year on July 16.

HBO also revealed the first poster for the show's new season featuring both ice and fire. The TV series is based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels.
