Shawn Mendes stopped by The Late, Late Show with James Corden to promote his new album Illuminate, and while he was there they decided to get to the bottom of which era of music is the best.

James is all about '90s music while Shawn is all about the 2010s (of course).

A capella group The Filharmonics appeared out of nowhere to accompany their battle and the rest is history.

Shawn belted out your fave tunes like "This is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris and "Cheap Thrills" by Sia. He even helped James Coden out with a rendition of the classic TLC bop "No Scrubs" before they shut the house down with Shawn's own hit, "Stitches."
