The first trailer for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has finally been released!

But unlike the first Jumanji, the beloved 1995 Robin Williams movie that told the story of chaos brought on by a cursed board game, the sequel has been given a 2017 twist by becoming a video-game.

Jumanji is an old video game that four high school students discover. They get sucked into the game, taking on the role of different characters in the virtual setting, forced to play through it in order to get back to their own world.

The film features Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black.

Recently, Black spoke about the how they will honour Robin Williams with the sequel: “We’re exploring this jungle and trying to conquer the game; it’s life or death. But while we’re there, we find clues left behind by [Williams’ character Alan Parrish]."

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will be released on December 20.
