On Friday 22 January 2027, the Hot Spring T20 Black Clash returns to Hagley Oval, Christchurch, for its ninth year, bringing together some of New Zealand's biggest sporting stars for an unforgettable night of summer entertainment.

With a dedicated Family Zone, activities for all ages and a relaxed Kiwi atmosphere, Black Clash offers the perfect summer outing for families, friends and sports fans alike.

The rivalry is heating up, with Team Cricket holding a 6-2 advantage over Team Rugby. But this year, Kieran Read is shaking things up. For the first time, Team Rugby + Friends will recruit sporting stars from outside rugby in a bid to end Team Cricket's dominance and take down Tim Southee's blue team.

Fans are encouraged to pick a side, wear their colours and get involved. Support Team Rugby + Friends in red or Team Cricket in blue, with best-dressed spot prizes up for grabs throughout the evening.
