With over 91% sold out the Christchurch Marathon is set to hit record-breaking strides this year!
Known for its flat, fast, and scenic central city course, Christchurch is made for running. On Sunday, 12th April, the streets come alive for an event that celebrates everyone, from elite athletes chasing personal bests to first-time runners taking on a new challenge.
Inspired by the spirit of the 1974 Commonwealth Games, this iconic event captures the best of Christchurch’s vibrant City and stunning landmarks. Whether you are eyeing the pinnacle Full Marathon, the high-speed MW Traffic Management Half Marathon, or theFormthotics10k, which is fast enough for a PB but made for the feeling, there is a distance for every pace.
The next generation can also get involved with the Youth 3km and Kids’ Mile, making this a true city-wide takeover. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s the city’s most electric day of the year.
