Coffee, chocolate, and granola are three staples of any normal diets, but how does swapping them out for similar alternatives drastically change your health?

These simple swaps can can extend your life expectancy and reduce the chance of getting heart disease, cancer, and dementia later in life.

These changes are nothing crazy, but in the long term, you will notice a difference.

 

MILK CHOCOLATE FOR RAW CACAO

Even though it doesn't massive amounts of sugar, raw cacao can get rid of your sugar cravings completely.

Cacao itself is a super-food, so there's no wonder why it was used as a currency in the ancient Aztec society, where they also used it to cure many ailments.

Even just swapping out milk chocolate for a cacao based dark chocolate, you will avoid a lot of sugar.

GRANOLA FOR PORRIDGE

Considering breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it should really consist of something that contributes to your well-being rather than hindering it.

Granola and certain cereals have a lot of cereals in them, whereas porridge is almost completely wholegrain goodness that will have you powering through the rest of the day with ease.

It has been proven that a large daily intake of caffeine will only create more stress hormones, so cutting it out of your diet has got to be a good thing right?

On the other end of the spectrum is green tea, which only contains ingredients that will be beneficial for your health.

These benefits include supporting your metabolism to contribute to weight loss, L-theanine which helps with relaxation, and the catechins will reduce the decline in brain function.

These three changes aren't going to turn into a full fledged vegan that only eats quinoa, and spinach smoothies, but instead will give you endless health benefits.
