If you thought being wrinkle free with 'perkier' assets would make you the most confident in your body, you thought wrong.
According to new research - which studied 1,300 women - the majority of us don’t feel body confident until we reach our mid-60s!
As part of the survey, fashion company M&Co, asked how good women felt in swimwear at different ages.
The study found that the average score for body confidence was just a five out of ten.
But surprisingly, women aged between 65-74 rated their confidence higher, with an average of six out of ten.
The researchers have suggested this could be because as we get older we care less about having a ‘dream bikini body’ as there are ‘more important things in life’.
Furthermore, a 2014 survey by Gallup found that 75% of Americans over the age of 65 ‘agreed’ or ‘strongly agreed’ with the statement 'they always felt good about their appearance'.
Which was a much higher percentage than the younger age groups questioned.
So if you don't feel 100% confident in your body right now, try not to worry because it will get better!
