After seeing the amazing KFC cake floating around the internet this week, we decided to have a hunt around for other incredible creations.
Sylvia Weinstock, known as the Queen of Cakes, used to bake cakes in the weekends while her family went skiing. Eventually George Keller, a retired pastry chef, took Sylvia under his wing as an apprentice.
She was quickly caught by the public eye and was immediately in demand across New York City. Hotels, Caterers and even celebrities wanted a piece of her work (pardon the pun)!
Celebrities she’s made cakes for include Oprah, Robert De Niro, Martha Stewart, Ralph Lauren, Michael Douglas, and Jennifer Lopez, as well as prominent families such as the Kennedys, Rockefellers, and the Clintons.
These days, Sylvia’s cakes are made for people as far away as Paris, London, Milan and Paris.
