See Natalie Portman channel Jackie Kennedy in heartbreaking new trailer

Natalie Portman IS Jacqueline Kennedy in the latest trailer to surface of the actress portraying the former First Lady in the upcoming biopic, 'Jackie'. Donning Jackie’s most famous look ever, the pink tweed Chanel suit she wore when JFK was shot, Natalie will make you do a serious double-take.

From her signature ‘do to her ladylike demeanor and effortless elegance, the actress has captured the essence of the former First Lady beautifully, and sporting Jackie’s memorable pink ensemble only adds to the image.

The latest film, directed by Pablo Larraín, follows the former First Lady in the four days following her husband's death.

Natalie is joined by actor Peter Sarsgaard, who plays JFK's brother Robert Kennedy, though it's unclear who plays JFK.

The movie has been in the making since 2010 and was originally conceived as an HBO mini-series, with Natalie confirming her role back in May 2015.

Of course, Portman isn't the first actress to don the suit in an effort to recreate history. Both Katie Holmes and Ginnifer Goodwin slipped into the pink separates in The Kennedys and Killing Kennedy, respectively.

The actual suit has been preserved with the bloodstains and sits in the National Archives. It was sent with specific instructions not to display the clothing until 100 years after the assassination.
