Anyone who has had a job that requires you to be on your feet all day knows how exhausting it can be.

Hairstyling is one of those careers which requires you to stand all day on your feet with a hunched back which can take quite a bad toll on your body.

Although it isn't something you'd immediately think of when you go to your local salon, stylists are leaned over our heads all day and one hairdresser in the U.K. is going viral for this photo which her massage therapist Hitesh Patel shared of the toll her hairdressing has taken on her body.

Ouch! That just hurts to look at.

The marks on her back aren't bruises. They're signs of petechia which is a stagnation that has occurred in her muscles.

Patel explained that “because you’re spending hours standing on your feet rotated forward, whilst holding a brush in one hand and a hairdryer in the other angle over your clients head for hours and hours, your muscles develop and start holding your skeletal system in an unnatural off centre position.”

“So then when you finally do you put down your crimping equipment. And try and sit down and a natural neutral position it just doesn’t work,” he added.

This occurrence is common among many jobs that require crouching in odd positions for hours at a time.

We certainly won't be taking our hairdresser for granted ever again!
