A lot has been happening for Kiwi celebrity cook Nadia Lim recently.
Not only did she give birth to her baby boy, River in an unexpected home birth two weeks ago, but she’s just launched her latest recipe book Fresh Start, Feel Good!.
Talking to Sam Wallace and Laura McGoldrick that she actually found out she was pregnant after she started writing the recipes and experienced morning sickness during the book’s photo shoot.
Nadia also admitted one of the weird cravings she experienced while she was pregnant.
"My most random craving was umeboshi, which you’re probably thinking 'what the hell is that?' … It’s a Japanese salted plum," Nadia explained.
"They’re pretty hard to get hold of, there’s only one store that I know of around us that sells them and I cleared their whole shop floor out them!"
The mother of two – who also has two-year-old Bodhi – said she also indulged a bit while she was pregnant, with burgers from Burger Fuel and ice cream being some of her favourite treats.
We don't blame you, Nadia!
