Dirty Dancing To Be Remade Into TV Musical: Who Is Playing 'Baby'?

19-year-old Abigail Breslin confirmed on Tuesday that she has landed the role of Baby in a TV musical remake of Dirty Dancing!

The iconic 1987 movie famously starred Jennifer Grey as the female lead, Frances 'Baby' Houseman, with the late Patrick Swayze playing Johnny Castle.

The TV movie version will air on ABC and will be a musical, but filmed ahead instead of following the live format that is becoming increasingly popular.

Abigail shared a link to an article about the casting on Twitter on Tuesday, and wrote: 'So excited to finally be able to tell you I'm playing Baby! #nobodyputsbabyinthecorner.'

It has not yet been revealed who will be taking on the role of Johnny.
