Ellie Goulding Announces She's Quitting Music

Ellie Goulding has announced she will quit music next year. At the same time she confirmed she has split from boyfriend Dougie Poynter.

The 29-year-old will finish her Delirium world tour this October and take time out to 'get to know' herself following the split from her boyfriend-of-two-years Dougie.

Ellie told The Sun: ‘People think I’m invincible but these past few weeks have been tough.

‘I’m not in a relationship any more and that’s been hard. Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head.’

She admitted she has no idea what the future holds for her and said she'll take some time off and ‘live a bit’ next year.

‘I’m not writing new stuff. I’m not sure when I’ll release a new album. It might not even be next year. I need time off for my own head,’ she added.
