Martin Lynes, best known for his roles on Home and Away, McLeod’s Daughters, and All Saints, has been found guilty of sexual assault.
The 50-year-old - who played Adam Sharpe, Ricky Sharpe's brother on the Aussie soap - was on trial for the past week, facing three charges relating to alleged incidents that occurred on three separate occasions between May 2015 and February 2016.
After two days of deliberation, the jury found the actor guilty on one charge of aggravated sexual assault.
He was found not guilty on two other charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and having sexual intercourse without consent.
Lynes had pled not guilty to the charges and denies ever being violent towards the woman.
The woman was treated for her injuries in hospital.
His bail has been revoked following the guilty verdict and he will remain custody until his sentencing in October.
After leaving Home and Away in 2013, Lynes retired from acting.
He now works as a real estate agent.
