Kanye West reportedly taken to hospital

Hip-hop star Kanye West has reportedly been hospitalised for a psychiatric evaluation, according to TMZ.

Sources close to the Golddigger hitmaker revealed that Kanye was being seen by a doctor for sleep deprivation when it was decided that he should be admitted. 

TMZ also reports that police and paramedics responded to a welfare check on Kanye and that he was later transferred to hospital by ambulance. 

This comes after Kanye cut his concert short earlier this week following a passionate rant about Jay Z, Beyonce and Hillary Clinton.
