Lady Gaga has broken her silence on her split from former fiancé Christian Carino.

The A Star Is Born actress spoke out about her ex during her 'Jazz and Piano' show in Las Vegas, noting how a particular song she was set to perform reminded her of the time she was engaged to the talent agent.

"Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it'll be different this time," Gaga said, according to an audience member.

The song Gaga was referring to was Someone to Watch Over Me which features the lyrics: "Looking everywhere, haven't found him yet, He's the big affair I cannot forget, only man I ever think of with regret ... There's a somebody I'm longin' to see, I hope that he turns out to be, Someone who'll watch over me."

The 33-year-old understandably broke down in tears while performing the emotional ballad, according to reports.

Sources told Us magazine that Gaga has been "devastated" by the break-up but that she is trying to focus on her career and "has not even had time to address what has been happening between her and Christian, emotionally" instead "telling those around her, 'Let's stay focused.'"

The former couple – who were together for two years – sparked split rumours after Gaga was seen without her $400,000 pink sapphire engagement ring at the Grammys.

A rep for the singer later confirmed in February this year that the two had in fact called off their engagement.
