Meghan Markle plans to reunite with Thomas Markle ...

The Duchess of Sussex’s father, Thomas Markle, has become infamous for causing drama over the past few months - thanks to publicity stunts like the staged photographs with paparazzi or the surprise tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

But what has come as a massive shock to royal followers, is the reports out of the palace Meghan Markle is planning to reunite with her estranged father on a solo trip to America.

According to sources, the 37-year-old former actress wants to meet with Thomas in an attempt to heal their bitter family rift.

The 74-year-old former lighting director is said to be "delighted" about the potential visit, and is reportedly "keeping two dates free at the end of the month."

"The location and exact dates will be top secret for both their sakes. It is a very sensitive time for them, but the intent seems to be to heal the rift," said a source.

Palace aides have reportedly had multiple crisis meetings about how to deal with her family - in particular her dad - after he repeatedly complained about being "cut off" by his daughter in media interviews.

The meeting would be the first time the Duchess has seen her father in several months after he pulled out of her wedding in May.
