With filming underway on the female Ghostbusters reboot, director Paul Feig has unveiled some behind the scenes snaps.

The Bridesmaids director has been tweeting fans with photos of the new suits and proton packs. Now he has revealed the new version of the Ecto-1, the iconic car the Ghostbusters used to get around.

The reboot is led by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, with Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist.

Last year, producer Dan Aykroyd, who wrote and starred in the original Ghostbusters movie series, told The Hollywood Reporter that the reboot will be the first in a "Marvel model" shared universe, with a male version and crossovers set to follow.

 

Plot details are under wraps, though new casting decisions have been announced.Ocean's Trilogy star Andy Garcia will play the Mayor of New York, while the villain Rowan will be played by comedy writer Neal Casey.

Ghostbusters is scheduled for a July 2016 release.
