She's known for her iconic and classic sense of style, but it seems this week Kate Middleton had her first ever fashion "fail".

Stepping out on Tuesday to visit the Henry Fawcett Children's Centre in Kennington, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a gorgeous violet silk-crepe Gucci blouse, complete with a pussy-bow detail.

However, fans were quick to notice the royal mum-of-three was actually wearing her blouse backwards.

Taking to social media, royal watchers pointed out that the original £790 Gucci blouse is supposed to be worn with the buttons along the back of the shirt.

According to Nordstrom's product description of the top, the pussy-bow blouse features a "row of dainty covered buttons inching down the back."

However, photographs of the Duchess show that when she wore the piece, the button closures were at the front instead.

Fans also noted that the cuffs on Kate's top were awkwardly facing forwards, rather than to the back and sides, like the product image suggested.

Kate paired her top with a pair of black wide-leg, high-waisted Jigsaw trousers.

To finish off her look Kate accessorised with a pair of tonal pointed-toe pumps and a miniature lilac faux croc bag by Aspinal of London.

Whether it was accidental or deliberate, we think she looks amazing!
