While we're all wondering what Meghan Markle will wear as she walks down the aisle to marry Prince Harry, we also can't help by wonder about the FOOD.

Considering Meghan used to write a lifestyle blog with a focus on food, we know their menu will be Michelin star-worthy.

So what should guests expect?

The couple have reportedly chosen catering company Table Talk, a royal favourite, for their wedding day.

This is the same company who catered for Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding in 2011 and Pippa Middleton and James Matthews's wedding last year.

Like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding meals - which included a wedding breakfast, a luncheon hosted by the Queen and an evening reception hosted by Prince Charles featuring a seated, three-course meal - Harry and Meghan will likely follow suit.

According to the menu Will and Kate had, their wedding dinner featured an appetizer of marinated salmon, crab and langoustines on a fresh herb salad, followed by organic lamb served with spring vegetables, potatoes and "sauce Windsor," finished with a trio of desserts: Berkshire honey ice cream, sherry trifle and a chocolate parfait.

Each dish was appropriately paired with wine, and coffee and fresh mint tea were offered with dessert.

The current inside scoop is that Harry and Meghan's reception food will consist of canapes, including “sausage rolls, tartlets and mini crosque monsieur”.

As for the main sit down meal, the menu is still to be confirmed.

However, lobster, salmon and caviar is guaranteed to be on the menu.

As for the cake, Kensington Palace announced the couple will have a lemon and elderflower wedding cake created by Claire Ptak of Violet Cakes - which bucks the royal tradition of serving a tiered fruit cake for dessert.

Meghan and Harry will on May 19 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The royal Wedding will be broadcast on TVNZ 1 from 9:05PM or live streamed at tvnz.co.nz.
