Toni Street stunned viewers when she revealed that she had been battling an incurable and potentially fatal auto-immune disease earlier this year.
So her Seven Sharp team mates decided to end her year on a high. With a little help from Ed Sheeran.
Street, a massive fan of the UK pop star, thought she was delivering a Christmas hamper to a struggling Kiwi family, but was stunned when she was introduced to Sheeran instead.
"What's going on here - Ed Sheeran, what? I'm a little bit stunned right now, I love you," Street told Sheeran, giving him a hug. Sheeran gave Street a bunch of flowers.

Street then sat down and interviewed Sheeran about his role in the new Bridget Jones Diary film and his plans for Christmas.
Sheeran was here for his concert at Mt Smart Stadium on December 12.
Seven Sharp co-host Hosking told viewers Street was "about as easy as it gets to suck in".
Street said she initially thought she'd interrupted someone else's interview.
"I had no idea, Street said. "I thought I'd messed it up ... he was a magic guy. Loved him."
Street told viewers in October she had been diagnosed with Churg-Strauss syndrome, with the mother of two telling Woman's Day she came close to organ failure and has already had her gallbladder removed after years of poor health.
Churg-Strauss syndrome causes auto-immune systems to overreact, leading to allergies, tissue damage and death. It is hard to diagnose as symptoms can disappear and reappear without warning.
