It turns out 90s show 'Dawson's Creek' is coming to New Zealand TV screens soon!

Fans of 90s teen romance Dawson’s Creek are about to relive it all over again.

Today Netflix announced that it has acquired the rights to the hit show – which first debuted in 1998 – and will be bringing it to their streaming service from next month.

Yay!

To jog your memory, Dawson’s Creek follows the story of teenage friends Dawson (James Van Der Beek), Pacey (Joshua Jackson), and Joey (Katie Holmes) as they navigate love, friendship, and hormonal angst in the small town of Capeside.

The show ran for a total of six seasons and also starred the likes of Michele Williams, Busy Philipps, Kerr Smith, and Meredith Monroe.

Unfortunately for those already hearing Dawson’s Creek’s nostalgic theme song in their heads, we have bad news.

Due to licensing issues, the iconic theme song I Don’t Want To Wait by Paula Cole won’t come before each episode.

It also turns out Dawson’s Creek has actually already been available for Kiwis on TVNZ OnDemand right now and can be binge-watched for free before it shifts to Netflix on November 1.
